First Screen Distribution
A digital content distribution service for private screening rooms
First Screen Distribution is a digital content distribution service for private screening rooms. The model was built from the start around a closed club and referrals: access to the content and to the service itself was not meant to look like an open mass-market storefront.
My task was to give that model a clear digital image and build a site that explains what FSD is, shows the available content and still keeps the feeling of a members-only service.
Turn a members-only distribution model into a clear digital service
Approach
The main question was not only about design but about how much information should be shown publicly at all.
We dropped the idea of turning the site into a large media resource about the history of cinema and focused it on the service itself and the catalogue of available content.
The site was built more like a product interface: the visitor quickly grasps how FSD works, sees the films available now or coming shortly, can open a detailed page for a particular release and then get in touch with a manager.
I worked separately on the project’s visual image and positioning. The point was not to disguise the exclusivity but to use it as part of the value: FSD had to read not as one more public film catalogue but as a service for a particular circle of clients.

What I did
Outcome
The result is a compact service site whose public part does exactly two things: it explains the First Screen Distribution model and gives access to the current content catalogue.
Instead of a conventional corporate site or an online cinema, it became a digital shell that matches FSD’s business model: open enough to present the product, closed enough to keep the club format.
