Smart home design and integration

The TechLiving website
Role
Positioning, redesign, website and 3D visualisation
Format
Refreshing the visual language and the website

TechLiving designs and integrates smart home systems. The project called for refreshing how the company looks and talks about itself: from the overall visual language to the site and the way the solutions themselves are presented.

Rebuild a smart home integrator’s image for a more mature audience

Approach

The main task was to move away from the market’s usual communication about “smart features” and individual devices, and to show the smart home as an integral part of a contemporary interior and way of living.

On that logic I rebuilt the visual presentation, the structure and the copy of the site. To show scenarios and equipment I separately created 3D visualisations — wherever the manufacturer’s existing material was not enough for the presentation we needed.

What I did

  • Positioning
  • Redesign
  • Site structure and copy
  • Web design
  • 3D visualisation

Outcome

In place of a scattered presentation of services and equipment there is now one digital image of the company, where the technology is shown through scenarios a client understands and the setting it lives in.

Promotion of the refreshed site was planned as the next stage, but the ad launch was postponed because the client’s team was stretched. So I am not attributing marketing figures to this project that did not in fact exist.
